Executives Describe Mariposa’s 360

We asked some of our executive leadership coaching clients to describe their experience with our interview-based 360 feedback process and we invite you to hear from them directly. You’ll notice the theme quickly – it is an incredibly valuable experience that positively impacted their career and trajectory as a leader.

Here’s how we do our 360 process and why it works:

  • The leader chooses 8-10 key colleagues to be interviewed, including peers, team members, key stakeholders and/or senior leaders.
  • The executive coach conducts live interviews with each person. (Not a survey!) We ask simple but powerful questions…
    • “What are their strengths as a leader and colleague?”
    • “What could they do to be even more effective?
    • “What is the one thing that would make the biggest impact for their team/org/company?”
    • “How might you help?”
  • Very rich and detailed information is collected, in context for each person’s role with the leader being coached.
  • The executive coach synthesizes the data into themes and includes anonymous details in a robust report.
  • Another key aspect – the debrief! The highly skilled executive coach shares the report with the leader, and only the leader. In this trusted relationship, focused only on the support and growth of the leader, the feedback can be best absorbed, and then turned into an actionable plan for development.

But our clients say it best, take a look/listen:
